From Defenders to Targets: Yunus Regime Turns on Anti-Terror Heroes as Freed Militants Roam Free

Is Bangladesh’s Security Being Undermined from Within?

The illegitimate Yunus regime is now targeting the very officers who once risked their lives to fight militant extremism!

Those who once led decisive crackdowns on extremist terror, foiled foreign intelligence threats, and stood at the frontlines of national security—are now being hunted by the state itself. Under suspicious silence from the current regime, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has launched a series of investigations against several former top military and intelligence officials—not to fight corruption, but seemingly to dismantle patriotic forces and weaken the national security framework.

The ACC has opened investigations against at least 10 retired senior officers, including former heads of DGFI, NSI, SSF, NTMC, BGB, and even RAJUK. Some have even been barred from traveling abroad. Allegations include unexplained wealth, bribery, abuse of power, and money laundering. However, experts question the timing and targets, suggesting a coordinated campaign of ideological purging.

Insiders say the goal is not justice—but vengeance, intimidation, and institutional dismantling. The consequences are already visible: morale is collapsing inside the armed forces, BGB, and intelligence services.

All of this is happening while the Yunus-led interim regime freed more than 40 top terrorists during mass jail breakouts, in which over 700 prisoners escaped. More than 500 police stations were attacked, and arms were looted. From August to February alone, 225 attacks were carried out on police, with 70 being large-scale assaults. The IG of Police confirmed that mobs are still forming daily to obstruct justice and terrorize police.

In this climate, police are not just unable to perform—they’re under siege.

So, while dangerous terrorists walk free, those who captured them are being dragged into political show trials. A system once built to protect the people now appears weaponized against those who served the people.

This isn’t anti-corruption—this is state betrayal.
A regime that frees radicals and targets patriots is not protecting the nation—it’s compromising it from within.
