To hide its failure in face of public rejection in polls, BNP launched vitriols against foreign nations and diplomats.
As part of effort to cover up public rejection in their bid to grab power without polls and global rejection to the outfit’s politics of terror, BNP and Jamaat combine raked up a smear campaign against and this time their target is India.
And it’s all for their failure to get Indian intervention in BNP’s bid to usurp power in Bangladesh without any public mandate.
As India like many other nations from the Global South and Asia Pacific accepted public mandate in recently conducted polls, BNP activists have launched an attack to vilify all those countries that called out BNP’s repeated act of violence and acknowledged public mandate in recent polls.
A look at social media handles operated by BNP Jamaat reveals the combine has been desperately trying to leading a movement against India, accepted by people, a hoax observers say similar to BNP’s outright failure in garnering public support in last four polls since 2008.
Soon after the polls, these handles were filled with a heap of smears to discredit the public mandate and justify instigation of arson attacks.
Yet the leaders clearly hid the brazen pleas echoed by same BNP leaders including the fugitive acting chief for wining over Indian support for their anti-democratic schemes like blockade and burning people alive.
Since October 28, BNP Jamaat combine enforced blockade for around 30 days including on polls day that saw hundreds of vehicles firebombed with moving train compartments had been set on fire that saw over 20 lives perished and economic cost worth billions.
In last November, Iqbal Mahmud Tuku, a senior BNP leader flew to India and begged for India support in their bid to grab power thwarting polls.
Though completely undemocratic in nature, Tuku, called their movement democratic, a claim observers say akin to BNP’s denial drama to cover up involvement in arson attacks during polls.
On the other hand, BNP since the time of its founder General Ziaur Rahman, always aligned with Pakistan style communal rule and propped up Jamaat –e-Islami, a radical outfit that colluded with war criminals and waged the usurp power campaign since the days of polls.
As lies and hoaxes remained at the heart of BNP’s effort in shoring up support to justify violence approach, the latest round of anti-India campaign has also witnessed outright lies to agitate the public.
A heap of churns echoing the tone of BNP leaders who are peddling anti-Indian rhetoric which are outright lies.
In a display of brazen defence, they are claiming Bangladesh becomes fourth largest destination for India’s remittance earning but reality is completely different as India’s source of earning remittances largely remained in other parts of the world, a fact corroborated by multiple organizations.
As part of our editorial judgement, the recent killing of a BGB official demands probe on part of Indian authority and unabated smuggling spree through border areas need to be addressed.
